I am so relieved... I failed the first one on Monday because of a really stupid thing

So I booked another one for 12.30pm today and passed with 9 minors!!!

I was shaking like a leaf when I was waiting for the examiner, but once I had set off, I felt fine

I can't wait for my box to be finished now... I can start getting excited properly

THANK YOU!!!

I had an intensive course which started on Tuesday and finished on Friday... four hours of driving for four days. Then failed the test on Monday

and got back in for the first time since that this morning for the test

I have not been driving anything inbetween, mostly because my box is not ready but it is also only 7.5 tonnes whereas I have done the test in an 18 tonne wagon with 8 gears

Wow WELL DONE! Lucky you bet you can't wait for your lorry to be finished now!

If you don'tmind me asking, where did you do the intensive & test as your not a million miles from me. Also very rude of me bt how much was it (you can PM if you wish)? I am after my class 2 aswell.

It's about £1000 in total for intensive lessons, theory and the test

I thought the theory was pretty straight forwards (although failed on hazard perception first time as didn't even know it existed
blush.gif
due to loss of CD in postal strike) but I am not going to say the practical was easy because I found it quite hard

I did the lessons with North Manchester HGV training in Bolton who are brilliant... did my trailer test with them too

I did the test itself in Kirkham. It cost around £1000, but then add another £100 for me to do the test again this morning

Brilll well done again!
Well if I have any money left over from insurance on house I may go for it!!

I had antisipated it being that much so not too bad. Would you be willing to sell on your training manual as you do not require it anymore!! Or does it come inclusive with the intensive course?
Luckily I have acess to wagons to practice as Mother owned a haulage company & my uncle the best driver that is if he has the patience to sit shotgun with me!!

Oooh well done Becki, thats great news. My friend has started hers, exam is next week and mine is in Jan, I am petrified to take mine! You must let me know what things they look out for too...

Huge congrats tho, the world (or motorways) are your oyster now!! Lets hope Gracie gets a spin in the new lorry in April!!

sorry to go off topic slightly but you mentioned you have don your trailer test? what did you have to d for that? & how much was it?

[/ QUOTE ]

I can't remember how much it was as it was a few years ago... it is pretty much the HGV test but with a car and trailer as opposed to a lorry. You have to do the same reverse test, the same controlled stop etc.

Eventually I would like to get an HGV... that is the plan and why I did a class two as opposed to just the 7.5 tonne one
smile.gif
But I love the colour of Doris (the Daf
laugh.gif
) so would have to have another one converted to get the same colour
smile.gif

It should be finished at the end of the week... just fiddly things need doing now, like CD radio fitted in the cab (bought a cracking one on offer at Halfords
wink.gif
), cameras connected etc etc.

How is your girl getting on?

I am hoping to take Han out to some affiliated in the New Year... we should try and meet up again
smile.gif

Thank you... I feel exhausted though!

I got myself in a bit of a state this morning about it and was shaking when I was sat waiting for the examiner to come out
blush.gif

How exciting. I rode Gin last saturday and wednesday but the weathers been too bad. I wanted to get on again this morning but it was too nasty, Im keeping my fingers crossed for tomorrow. She felt like a big bouncy baby. Im hoping to be back out competing by february so would love to meet up again.

You'll have to let me know when you're planning on going out and we'll try to come over and meet you... you can meet the big daft Hannah
laugh.gif
Plus, you can see my box!!! (can you tell I am excited
blush.gif
)

I'm glad she is ok to ride again... I look forwards to meeting the lovely Gin
laugh.gif

so, now that you can drive up to 18 tonnes, does that mean that you can also drive upto 18 shire horses??
laugh.gif
