Brush my horse, rather than brush off/clean the sofas.

Muck out her stable, rather than muck out whatever room has ended up looking like a bombsite at home

Buy rugs and breeches, rather than buy 'proper' clothes for me (much to D's disgust)

Take rugs to be cleaned, rather than taking curtains for the same

Do any horsey related shopping, rather than almost any non-horsey related shopping

The daft thing is, I'm trying to cut down the amount of time I spend at the yard/with the horses as I need to spend more time with the Ds and at home

I agree.. I was on my hands and knees this afternoon digging gunk out a hole in Maje's hoof with my thumb nail but I have mass heart attacks if I try to do the dishes or clean the toilet without gloves on :/

I'll power wash my barn Walls and rubber matting long before I mop the kitchen or living room floors :/

I'll do pretty much anything at the yard rather than at home! Kitchen is currently buried under the washing and washing up, though I happily spent most of yesterday at the yard spring cleaning her already pretty immaculate stable! I would rather sweep the yard than hoover any day, and for some reason washing numnahs and rugs is so much more tempting than tacking the mountain of clothes!!

I was pondering this the other day as I was happily scrubbing the very smelly underside of my rubber mats clean....why can I motivate myself to do this horrible job so enthusiastically but I can't summon up any energy to clean our kitchen floor.......why oh why

Somehow mucking out and making up feeds is far preferable to housework and cooking dinner, lol! And I would far rather put money aside for Ali than buy myself new shoes, etc.
OH had to force me to buy shoes yesterday, and I really did need a new pair!
