I hope i don't sound like a winey wimp but I go on holiday for 3 weeks tomorrow ( Its a "Family" holiday ) and i really really really don't want to leave my little man behind. I've got a really nice girl from my yard block looking after him and riding him for me but i will be worrying like mad! I also have Bellingham show the day after i get back so i hope he is in good knick for that and hasn't injured him self! I know he'll be well looked after as hes very easy going and everyone likes him but i'll still be worrying and picturing terrible senarios in my head.

How can people cope with leaving their horseys?!?! I'm having a break down and i haven't even left yet. ( it's quite sad really that i'm worrying like this haha)

You will be fine when you actually go away. You will hopefully be having so much fun you won't even have time to think about him. All else fails I'll go for you, I'm in need of a holiday and a break

Don't worry, you're not the only one! I hate going away and leaving my girls, but it does you good to get away. I always appreciate them more when i've been away from them :) I'm always checking up on them tho!
Have a good holiday and good luck for the show when you get back
x

Aw I know how you feel. I love my summer holidays and always have a fab time, but spend a lot of time thinking about and missing my dogs and my ponies! Silly really. :)

Aw, im sure they'll be fine, but why dont you call every day if it makes you feel better, just to hear how theyre doing, sad i know, but thats what I did and it helped me enjoy my holiday as i felt i was still in the loop with my horses, even better if youve got an internet phone and you can skype to see them as well :)

We are exactly the same, over the years we have gone from 2weeks abroad to 10days, to 7 days. We now try to just do long weekends.

Mine goes with me :) had a lovely time at Scarborough last week, Rode Robin Hoods bay etc, nice farm cottage with a field for the ginger sausage :)

Are you kidding me?!

I know my horse is in excellent hands and I won't be remotely concerned - I honestly won't even miss him! He's nothing but a pain in the arse at the moment - got abcessed fly bites all over, he's needy, he's unfit, he's naughty. Roll on September holiday - I can't wait to get away! :D

I miss her but I know she is in the best of hands so I dont worry about her, look forwards to riding when I get back but a break is always good!
