We have two 8Below rescues. Both picked up as strays. One was found with a massive tumour between his back legs. 6 hour op to remove, thankfully non cancerous.

Yesterday, they took a dog from the pound. He was abandoned in a house for at least 2 weeks. Police broke in and seized him. 11.5yo, and his anus was in a horrific state. Today, he was pts as the damage was so bad he couldn’t be saved.

I know it’s not just a husky thing, it’s happening to all breeds, but just so so sad.

I sometimes see adverts for dogs that rescues are trying to adopt out and wonder at the sad stories they would tell if they could. We have one at the moment that came from a hoarder sort of home originally but luckily didn't suffer any health issues as a result.

It’s horrible. Odin has come to us at 10 years old. We won’t have him for a long time, but he will be loved, and hopefully happy.
