I would ring and explain, ask them if its ok for you to give them a call at the end of March to see if hes still for sale. If you are offering a good home (which im sure you are) they may be happy to wait. If you are still inteseted at the end of March and hes still for sale it will show the owners how much you really do want the horse.

It wouldn't do any harm to phone them but you must be up front about the money situation so that if they don't wish to continue the conversation then they have that option.

Thanks - he does look nice and reasonably priced, I've been looking at ads for a while and am expecting to pay £6500 upwards for this sort of experience.
