I really need your help *long.

I shall think of you tomorrow hun, big hugs and well done too for giving her every chance possible not many would have.

Last act of kindess we can ever give our loved and treasured animals.

I completely and utterly think you are doing the right thing. Well done for putting what is best for the mare before your own feelings.

I will be thinking of you on Wednesday, but remember your decision means that this mare will not be one of the unlucky ones rather that she was very lucky to have had you in her life.

((hugs)) for a brave and selfless decision.

You are doing to responsible thing! Selling her would have been awful... She's had the winter off, a nice holiday, and she is a good old age :) Unless you are willing to just keep her as a pet (she does sound dangerous to ride, but if she's never been properly retrained not really her fault) I think euthanasia is the only option.

Tiy are definately doing the right and kindest thing for all concerned. Well done for being brave and dealing with your mare so bravely. <<<<Hugs>>>>

a very brave decision - echoing what others have said, you are doing the right thing for your mare, there could be nothing worse than an old (and a bit of a nut case) horse being passed around as a 'riding horse' and ending up badly injured or injuring someone else.

will be thinking of you tomorrow, i hope it all goes smoothly and she passes peacefully.
well done you for persevering for so long, most people wouldn't have spent more than a week on such a horse.
xxx

I think you are being a very brave, caring, responsible owner. The mare doesn't sound happy and what you are doing is the kindest thing to do for her. And you know, 24 isn't such a bad age to reach. SHe's done well. And she's been shown kindness and love, which some horse don't get. Thinking of you today. God bless xx

I hope all went as well as it could do this morning with your mare, it sounds as though you've done as much as you can for her and as others have said, this is the last act of kindness anyone could ever give to an animal.

R.I.P sweetheart xx
