I know I call him the horrid one (with good reason ;)) and we havn't had the easyest of times together but I do love him so much. With all thats been going on in my life I forgot our one year aniversary :( (naughty mummy it was the 23rd Nov). I can't believe i've had him a year already. We've both come so far in that year. I realy didn't know how I would be able to carry on after the loss of my belovid Lucy but Herbs was there. He helped me find a way through it.
Yes he's not perfect and he can still be very horrid (he bit me on the head yeaterday and then tried to kick me ) But I love him so much.
I made this little video for him and just thought I would share it with you all.

Thanks for looking :)
Hope you liked it. :D

That was lovely Laura - I had no idea you have only had him a year, you really have worked wonders with him.

Congratulations on your ownerversary and best wishes for the future xx.

Thankyou both. I think he is going to be a special pony. :) He just needed someone to give him a chance we found eachother at just the right time :)

Thanks. Yes it's only been a year i can't quite believe it eather. But what a year it's been. Full of highs and lows. I can't believe how far we've come already though he's like a diffrent pony (in a very good way :D:D:D )

TicTac thankyou. He is very lovable. Someone was admireing him just the otherday and asking why I called him horrid. Before I could say anything he bit her on the head :o She just laughed though he's to cute to stay mad at :p ;) :D

Sprout thanks. The day he held the hammer he was helping me fix the fence. He just grabbed the hammer out my hand and started hitting the fence. Luckly he did it again for the camera. :D:D

BoxingDayHunt thankyou. I've been real buisy lately. Things are starting to sort themselves out (it's a long long story) and luckly Herbs has been there to help me through it all. :)

Hi Laura. Long time, no hear. Herbie looks fantastic, he's so cute. Glad to see you are doing better. You and Herbie have a good relationship, I think!! What height is he?? Oh, and did I say, he's such a cutie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks guys. I'm so glad the vid does him justice. :D He is very very cheeky but oh so cute. ;) :p :D. He's still horrid but in a nice way (if that makes any sence :) )

fitzaud2 he's only 12.2hh but has enough attitude for a 20hh horse ;) :D :D :D

So glad i decided to trawl through a few pages of the NL tonight and found this. That grooming video is so different to the one when you first got him and he was turning to bite you all the time. He looks like he's really come out of his shell and realised that life and people can mean happy things. Looks much more cheery but still with his cheeky streak, rather than grumpy and naughty. Is he hacking out nicely now?

You've done a fab job with him, and i'm so glad you found each other so he could be there for you after losing Lucy. You're a really strong person, but everyone needs a little help at times like that. I look forwards to seeing Herbs in another year or two maybe, and seeing him be a perfect pony showing others how it's done like Lucy did.

Hope everything else is sorted soon too, you deserve things to go smoothly for a while now! :)

Awww thats really nice Laura, I'm so glad you and horrid Herbie are getting there :D

I've a horrid one as well, but I adore her, she's by far my favourite out of my 4 and the worst behaved, and the one I will never part with as she's my forever horse. You show yourself what can be done in time, does time mend a stinking attitude though? lol

Biting heads thankfully isn't a trait I've yet encountered, I bet its sore :(

You're looking good together though :D xxx

Thankyou brightinsel i don't think heminds realy although I did wonder if that was why he bit me. ;) :p :D

somethingorother thankyou. He is becoming such a sweet pony now (when he wants to be that is ;) ) But I always wanted himto retain that spark. God knows Lucy did she was far from perfect sometimes  I know it's hard to believe but she could be very very cheeky (like the last time I ever rode her she tried to buck me off several times and bolted with me when we where only ment to be walking :p :D :D :D ) He's hacking brillently now. I just lead him up the first half of the track then I get on and am able to ride him for the whole hack. We now live in the new forest and we can even trot passed the wild ponies without napping :D:D:D:D:D He's such a cleaver boy :) I'm so glad he came into my life. He's no replacement for Lucy but he's special in his own funny little way. :D

thankyou Box_Of_Frogs.

missyme10 thankyou. The horrid ones are the best arn't they :D :D :D Biting heads is sore but is good for people I don't like ;) :p :D. I think Herbs will always have his attitude thats what makes him him ;) :p :D :D
