Is that a Dobe I see there, looks a lot like my Diesel, looks to check just to make sure you didnt pinch him while I was doing agility with Darcy.
I havnt lit my wood burner yet, Ive got the one in the kitchen going supplying our central heating. Your dogs all look very chilled even though they are all warm.

Lovely pics! It really does calm them down: if I get on the floor to clean it or light it, I suddenly have three dogs trying to get on my knee.

I don't miss my solid fuel burners in the slightest (way too much dirt,dust,cleaning and maintaining),but will admit there is something very cosy about them that you just don't get from a radiator!!
Seem to recall they promoted OH calmness (read snoring on the sofa lol),so don't doubt they have the same effect on dogs!!

For those with no access to open fires/fuel burning stoves may I present: The heated sofa!
Take electric blanket, place on sofa, cover with throw of choice, enjoy toasty bottom and other extremities.
Unless a skinny mongrel beats you to the sofa
