I rode a mechanical horse!!!!

I decided form my recent posts that i wanted to find out how bad my riding was once and for all..........so i had a half hour lesson on a mechanical horse!!

It was great! I thought i was sitting crooked but it turns out that that was fine and it was everything else!!!! lol

No really.... it highlighted my weak areas which werent what i thought they would be so all in all really helpful and very recommended.

It feels really realistic, but very smooth in comparison, means you can have a good look at your position tho!!

I've got a simulator lesson tomorrow (first lesson of any kind in 5 years ...)!

ive only ridden the racing ones and i find them err....rather different from real horses!!

I've been for a simulator day with Heather Moffett, and it was very interesting. Two trot models, which generate the pace themselves, and a canter model which you have to canter with your seat, get you paltic rhythm wrong and it stops - I'd recommend it, I think she has another day available soon to BHS members, have a look at the BHS Devon website.
