I Rode Dizzy Today

It's not all been bad today

I rode Dizzy!

All thanks to Friend's gentle persistance lol. Also thanks to D1 and Friend's daughter for being so patient with me

The first ten minutes, well, I was scared stupid . Let's just say she was fresh and bouncy! I thought I'd be back at the yard with m'knees knocking within minutes . She was leaning on the right rein (I have holes in my fingers!) and generally was no fun whatsoever. However, she wasn't bad enough for me to get off and get Friend or D1 to ride her instead of me, so we kept going Up and down the hills (all road work). I love this horse. She didn't bat an eyelid at all the noises and sights and sounds and buses and lorries and kids screaming past on pushbikes

We returned home on a long rein and me with a huge grin

Great news Mrs M - I had the same problems with confidence a short while ago - not I hasten to add after such a nasty accident as yours - just a wobbly me!!! After my first 'good' ride I have taken each day as it comes and am back to really looking forward to my daily rides - I am even thinking about doing a bit of competing(admittedly it is only in my head at the mo lol) Good luck with Dizzy xx

I have to admit to the next time being today, but no piccies lol

D1 babysat me as we walked round the roads again . Went a bit further this time, and even had a couple of trots-on-purpose . She was hard work, but less so than yesterday . I felt a lot braver and much more in control Physio says walking with a bit of trot only for the next couple of weeks, so maybe, if we keep this up then I'll be okay about cantering her....
