I couldn't stop grinning the whole time.

For those who don't know, she has a 3 months old foal at foot but has become quite a rotund lady since having him, and it was advised on here that I could start exercising her a little (and put her on hay which has now been done).

Hannah was brilliant! She never even bothered when I put her saddle on, tightened the girth or jumped on board. My husband led Troy around the school while I walked Hannah around. She was a little star, never bothered once where her son was and was quite excited by the prospect of work

Troy had his moments where he tried mounting him Mum with me on board (hubby pulled him down) but other than that he was pretty good. There was another horse in cantering around and he didn't really react at all. There is no way I could allow him to run loose, but if my husband could just come down with me maybe three times a week so I could ride her every other day it might help her lose some weight.

What do you think?

how exciting for you Becki - im still waiting to ride Ebi and Willow is 11 months old

well where was the piccies? maybe Andy had his hands too full to play camera man too - but defo want piccies of you all in the arena - im sure you can catch one of your liveries to take a few piccies for us.
I might take my tack down to the field and ride her around in the field - then Sasha wont get upset as I wont be taking her away - can see if shes still sound under saddle then!

We did take the camera down, but Andy did indeed have his hands full... but Troy lead like a total professional in the school abnd was never really bothered by anything other than his Mum having a quick trot with Mum number two on his back. He wanted to join in the fun

Te he... but she felt quite stiff compared to Grace, it was strange because when I first got on Grace she felt so stiff compared to Hannah

Hopefully, as we start to do a little bit more, she will start to supple up and start to get back to some sort of normal shape

Thats goo, glad both mum and son were good.
The vet at work told us we could start riding the mare when the foal was 2 weeks old. Just shut him in the stable she said, he'll be fine. My face was like this

I just need someone with me to hold Troy but Hannah was not bothered where he was at all, I think she just appreciated the time off from looking after him.

I was... but she felt so stiff and strange. Not like my horse at all

She also needs her mane pulling because it is nearly at her shoulder now
