I was a very bad mummy and 'borrowed' Little Cob from Daughter1...

.

He hasn't been ridden for about three weeks.

He hasn't been out for a week.

He hasn't hacked out in a good few months.

He was an absolute star

. Okay, so we had a few bounces (think little excited bucks and rears), and a bit of a tank off when I wasn't concentrating, but on the whole he was absolutely brilliant
grin.gif
. Daughter1 took him out when we got back (we'd only been out for max. twenty minutes), and she was miffed that I'd 'nicked' all his bounce lol. Bad Mummy. Bad

Big Cob went with us and he too was an absolute treasure

Pointless post, just wanted to share this thing called Riding - it seems so long since we've done any!

I love cobs!!! used to ride the most awesome one at inter-uni riding competitions. I haven't ridden since defore xmas now (partly snow and partly due to currently being horseless!)

He sounds fun! Where is the photographic evidence?

I rode today for all of about 5 mins. Was really excited to be riding again but couldn't work out whey she felt so odd. Looked down and realised that the sand was sticking to her feet like the snow does! The surface was clearly so cold it was making sand balls.

you lucky things MrsM, im fed up of not riding, seems so long ago since I sat on one of my hos's.
glad you had a great time - lol at you nicking all his bounce

He was very, very bouncy
grin.gif
. I couldn't stop cackling
grin.gif
. He doesn't do anything naughty or try to get the rider off in any way, it's all pure excitement and fun
grin.gif
. Though the buck/rear at the top of a slippery hill did get a "Whoa there lad!".

Sounds like fun MrsM, glad you enjoyed the bounce!

I'm supposed to be having a riding lesson on Friday if snow melted and have warned my instructor that pony (cob cross!) has only been ridden 3 times since 14th December and not been turned out for best part of 2 weeks all due to the weather apart from gentle daily meander around yard. He texted me back "We'll cope!" and I felt like saying yes, you'll cope cos you won't be on his back but what about me!

Really glad you rode and had a good time

I think bouncy bouncy may be a feature of lots of people's rides once the weather improves. I am pretty sure it will be on Frankie's agenda - you should see him in the field without any encouragement

MrsM What is this riding you speak off - its been months and months for me - and the snow is delaying the rehab programme... ho hum... very envious!
