I rode my horse for the first time on Saturday - woo hoo!!

OK, well the background is that I "acquired" a now ex-racehorse back in February, he won at Taunton but broke down. So I agreed to take him on. He had 2 and a half months box rest and then has been out in the field for 4 months. I decided it was time to get on him on Saturday and go for a 10 minute walk. I had no idea what he was going to be like as had never ridden him before and don't know much about his background. He was such a good boy, I tacked him up and got on and he was a star!

Very self indulgent post, but I am so pleased he isn't a nutter!

Gelding vs Mare

my mare is going ot be a right madam tongiht as she's be off since Wed due to bad weather, if she were male I'm sure she'd be a little star.
