...and he was perfect!! He's had time off as he had a sore foot in November, then I've been working abroad for two months so we thought he'd give him a bit of chilling and growing time (he'll be 6 this year but his growth plates are still open - a typical late-maturing Iberian!).
I was sooo happy to see him after two months. Having imported him last year, I was a bit worried about how he'd adjust to the English winter but I needn't have worried, he has a coat like a Shetland!! (And a belly to match
). I loose schooled him on Friday then jumped on for a short ride in the woods yesterday. Despite the wind, pigs, flapping tarpaulins and squeaky bird-scarers he was perfect, all ears pricked and happy to be out. I wonder if he thinks I've ignored him for two months because he was naughty...?!
