I was jumping Antifaz and he was a very very good boy over some pretty big (for me!) fences. Around 1.10 I think. Then The Boss pointed me at a MASSIVE 3 part combination (oxer, 1 stride to an upright and then 4 to another oxer) I gulped... legs a bit quivery... pointed A at the fence and... totally chickened out and pulled him out because I just couldn't see the stride (very VERY naughty of me!). Tried again... same thing... tried AGAIN and managed the first two although I got in a bit close and chickened out of the last part... At this point The Boss was hoarse from yelling at me and sent me off in disgrace. I wish I'd asked him to put it down for the first go! Silly me!! Fortunately neither he nor I bear grudges and we were friends again in a few minutes. And in any case he had to let me back on because I had to ride PF

... All the fences had been put down to about 80cm for the kiddies so I did all the jumps with her and I feel more confident about the combination now!

Ooops, I would not be in that position, 'cos I wouldn't have been trying to jump in the fierst place

Well done you for having the bottle to try it all. Well done for taking PF round and doing your confidence good.

Oh dear! At least you feel more confident now. I did that on my old horse, put up a 1.35m upright, which, in his terms and certainly by the new horses terms, wasn't big, then pulled him out of it! He repaid me by dumping me on it the next time I presented him, but we did clear it, with room to spare, third time lucky! Im useless for bottling things, I kick too hard and see a long one or I brace myself for impact and close my eyes!

Oh dear that sounds just like me, unfortunately I will bottle anything over 1' unless I have someone to scream at me!
