Yep I met her (and SSM) on saturday Donkey looked soooo stunning, much prettier in the flesh.
Just walked past and said to Gloster_Image (we were shopping together with a friend) that I recognised the pictures outside her stable so we went and said hi!
Just a general reply to you all. Does this mean we are beginning to see Cleveland Bays in a different light and not the galumphing, obstinate carthorses that they so often get labelled? For those of you who don't know, we breed them at Lincoln University and Prince (posh/registered name Lindon Principal) our stallion is the most laid back, well behaved horse you could have. He went hunting on Saturday and stood absolutely quietly waiting for hounds among a very large field. He is on the yard with the other horses and the students look after him. He does a bit of everything, dressage, jumping etc. SSM has been a great ambassador for this much underated breed and deserves all the successes she has had. Prince has had numerous successes at county level as well, as have all our youngstock.I just wish people would ditch their pre-conceptions and look at the individual horses. Ok, I'll get off my soapbox now!
I met Donkey too (and great to see SSM and OH again too!
) I have to say that it was lovely to meet Donkey in the flesh and (as I told SSM!) she's absolutely stunning! She was such a good girl, not phazed by the two babies that were suddenly thrust upon her - neither was Bumble-dog either who is the cutest of cute terriers and she just lapped up the two babies!
