It is turning into quite good fun backing buddy, think it is my highlight on the evening. Have had a few interesting moments though with his sudden going on strike mode and deciding he doesnt want to talk no further for me. Plus with the weather being so bad i hadnt backed him for a few days so monday i decided to just lie over him before getting on him.
Monday night meant:
Me not balanced lying over him + mom knowing im not balanced and still lying forward = buddy walking forward with her, my legs flying up because was not balanced and my horse bolting forward. Luckily i managed to jump off and he stopped!
Tuesday night meant:
Stubborn horse not wanting to walk + mom telling me to nudge him on = buddy being very suprised that i had nudge him and deciding to bolt agen...the good news though i stayed on and managed to stop him straight away
Its good fun really...cant have him going on strike though and he does need to listen to my leg sooner or later. Supose the good thing is he did actually move for me. Plus after the shock of me nudging him he did walk around perfectly for me for the rest of the night and didnt have to nudge him much at all.
