Well to quote good old gloria gaynor "first I was afraid I was petrified" kind of described how I felt when setting of early sat! Hardly any traffic on road so made good time to Stockland Lovell for a weekend residential camp. First off was a flatwork session (Millie trying to convince me that she was very tired after such a long journey!!) She did a few moments of really good work, but average for the rest of the time

So onto the XC course in the afternoon - well Millie soon changed her tune - leaping all over the place and waving to non existant crowds - cue me looking like this

but she finally calmed down and jumped really well!
Sunday morning was SJ - WOW! started over poles, then grids then on to related distances and then courses. I was surprised how big we were all jumping by the end of the session

I was so proud of my pony she really does help me out (me thinks we may have a go at some low level BSJA this winter!!) then our final session was back out on the XC... We were feeling a bit pooped by now but we were given a helping hand by the fact Millie could hear the hounds at the Hunt kennels over the hill!! She was awsome - I cant believe some of the stuff we jumped she was really pulling me into them (timber wagons, tiger traps, trakheners, steps, you name it we had a bash at it!) -we even ended up giving some of the other group members leads

so ok Intro is still a long way off for us but it doesnt seem unachievable aim any more.
I have come away from the weekend feeling alot more confident in both mine and ponies ability and now cant wait to do more!
Sorry to ramble on - but I have had the most fantastic time!! (oh and a photographer was there on sat - so carefully edited pics to follow!)
cyber chocolate to all making it this far!

A BIG well done from me. So glad you enjoyed your weekend. Have been thinking of you...
