I suspect we have rats....

Under our two wooden stables which we've turned one and the bit inbetween the two into a feed room.... we've had mice in there for ages so one of the cats now gets fed in there and has caught a few.

But yesterday the farrier's dog went crazy in the feed room and ripped up a bit of the wood from the doorway and was trying to get down another hole by another door.

Sadly think he was after rats, we've had them before but in the unused sheds next to the wooden stables.

The JRTs at the yard don't see to be very good at ratting!!

Worryingly when we had rats last time round they weren't just rats they were MUTANT HUGE RATS!

Its been a bumper year for rats. At the council i work for we still treat domestic properties for free - we have a three week waiting list now

We have them in our roof at home ! Yuck ! 2 cats and 2 terriers are obviously too well fed ! and so are the rats, happily eating the poison with no ill effects !

we have HUGE rats at the stables. You could put a saddle on some of them, I swear!

we just make sure that feed is in rat-proof bins, and let them get on with it.
