Dealing with long term injuries.
Mine came in lame on Monday with heat and swelling in one front leg. After obsessive cold hosing and bandaging he was back to normal by Thursday morning, and the cold hosing has now been supplemented by in-hand grazing, short walks, and today all the stress of turning out for short periods in a tiny paddock. It's taken hours every day, I'm exhausted and fed up and grumpy, and I'm fit for nothing tonight except gin, bath and bed.
I hadn't appreciated just how much of a toll it takes, and I've been doing it for less than a week!
How do you cope if you have to deal with it long term?! And hats off to you if you do!
