That's quite enough "swishing" and "flicking" from you, Mr Potter...

Put my horse back on the ground AT ONCE!

(more ridiculous pony-Potter mash ups coming on here: https://www.facebook.com/Hotbloodedhighland)

Cracking!
I did wonder if perhaps they might have been turned in to some sort of magical creatures.
Oh, hang on ...........

I do have a flying unicorn photoshop of him somewhere :p

Like I said, too many bats' wings! :D

Next time I'll up the newts' eyes and toads' claws and see if that helps…..

Yep. I quite like this one though so don't stint on the bat wings!

Fab picture! Did you just happen to have a camera in your hand at the right time?!

iPhone. Video. He has a lot of these moments so you get pretty used to having it handy!

You've posted some fab pictures in the past but that has to be the best shot of a highland pony...ever :)

I see that as a challenge... To get a better one!

I'll probably get flamed for posting this (sooner or later!) but I'm also partial to this shot of his "Spanish Riding School" impression (as mentioned by Nicnac above :p )

(eta - yes, he is getting socked in the gob. I released when he went up, but unsuprisingly wasn't quite expecting the launch. Just a misunderstanding!)

JFTD, I specifically bought my highland as a downgrade from a TB, to suit me in my older age, you know, quieter and steadier. It does not help my peace of mind when you post pictures of Spanish Riding School movements seemingly performed ad lib :) M has been told to keep 1 hoof on the ground at all times, I shall NOT be showing him these pics! PS Fergs is a bit special isnt he x

That's what makes breeding flying Highlands so difficult. Most toads have toes. It is only the Lesser Green Backed Toad found in Outer Mongolia that has claws. Here's DARACH's dad before we discovered toad's claw! Only 75% air borne!

Yep. Tricky business hunting those Mongolian Clawed Toads!

We-ell... He only does it if I ask for piaffe and push him to give me more than he quite understands (in fairness, it is a logical response when you ask for up and forwards without the forwards!) :p I'm sure M is much more sensible! (But yes, I do think Fergs is rather special - in every sense of the word!x)

Hopefully so, although he does a mean 180 spin if something spooks him. Fortunately he does it in a lower gear than your average TB so I normally manage to hang on:) I do love your boy though, I am a convert to the breed, wish Id had one years ago, Im sure the younger me would have had so much fun!

Urg tell me about it - I've been ditched a few times by Fergs' drop and spin spooks in the past. They're surprisingly versatile for deer-lugging hill ponies aren't they! Thanks, I think he's brilliant, but obviously I am biased there :p
