Picked up my, new to me trailer, last weekend and am super excited because it’s my first ever horsey transport. I’ve only ever hacked in the 15 years I’ve been riding horses so I can’t wait to get out and about.

Arlo is only 4 and don’t think has travelled much other than coming over from Wales, but I think he approves!

Some loading practice this morning -

Thank you guys! Super exciting to be able to get out and about. It’s funny because me and my partner had to be on our way out by 10am and when he suggested practicing loading initially I said no as I don’t think it’s good to try these things with horses for the first time when you know you’ve got somewhere to be!

I was worrying he might be difficult as I’ve only loaded him once with another horse already on board but we had loaded and unloaded 3 times in and put the trailer back away in under 30 minutes, done and dusted - he just walked up. Clever boy. Hoping first trip will be to the beach when it warms up a bit 😊

It's so exciting being able to get out and about! I had a battered old trailer years ago for my first pony when having transport seemed to be for the super rich. Following that was an old lorry until it went to the scrap heap and then I had a savings scheme mature and we bought a brand new 510 IW! Had that for a few years until we got the current lorry, that will be sold later this year now we are giving the horses up. Many, many fun times and memories...

It's great to have the freedom to take them off somewhere whenever you feel like it. I often take the beast exploring new places for hacking.

Aww congrats. My first trailer was the tattiest thing you ever saw, but my dad checked it over and said it was ok. I went all over in it.
Have fun x
