Well I wasn't about to trawl an 8 acre field in the dark and rain for a bit of string, but I still have a happy healthy hungry horse so I think he'll live.��
 
Mine recently bit the end off a syringe and swallowed it - she was having a mild colic and was being administered some coligone. Called vets for the colic but was panicking more about the syringe. Vets laughed when I told them and I was assured it would pass through!
