I think I got a compliment from my boss today... self indulgent maybe

He jumps grade A (equivalent) and I exercise horses for him and other liveries who can't make it in the week. Usually he lets me get on with it, but when he stops riding and starts watching what I'm doing, I start to get twitchy...
Anyhoo, I was blithely cantering around on someone's cute fluffy pony, thinking what a nice ride he was, and I noticed the Boss watching.
"Did your uncle teach you that canter?" (my uncle also jumps grade A, but is better than boss

)
"Ummm, no, I don't think so. What's wrong with it?"
"Nothing. It's very nice"
He'll get me tomorrow when I get to jump the beastie!

It's nice when someone who doesn't hand out compliments for free does give you one isn't it? Means so much more than those that come easily. Enjoy!

ps. totally off point - you remember the antifaz twin I showed you the link for? He sold for 9500 euros.... Would have been way out of my league even if I had been able to make it to the sale.
