I can't choose a breed, there are quite a few that people have shown me links to that i really like.
So I think when I'm ready for a dog, I may go to a rescue centre, and buy a mongrel instead, something older that will be easier to go walking with

I think it will be March next year

Good thinking

Go in there with an open mind, I went looking for a lurcher / greyhound and got a spaniel but he is the right dog for me! Who knows what you may end up with - how exciting!

Good for you - I can definitely recommend the rescue-route and there are soooooo many dogs out there who need a loving home!

Sounds like a really good plan. No matter what breed or cross you get, there's no guarantees it's goign to be exactly what you want - but if you get a rescue dog, it'll be at least giving a dog a chance that might otherwise not have - and if it's a bit older, you'll have a better idea of the nature of the beastie.

Good luck.
