i've been tentativly looking at new yards closer to home and think i've found somewhere but now its come to it i can't stop dithering!! New yard would be about as perfect as it gets but i love my current place. i've done the pros and cons of each so what do you guys think?

Current yard:
my own 2 stables and tack room in my own block
24/7 turn out all year if wanted
only 8 of us so nice and quiet
tons of dry storage
amazing hacking
£75 a month per horse

Cons-
No school
ex dairy farm so very rich grazing and constant struggle to keep my twos weight down
24miles from home, takes at least 40mins to get there and is costing me £10 a day in deisel to go once a day

new yard:
school
24/7 turnout all year if wanted
bigger yard but everyone goes at diff times so often quiet
my own tack/ store room
8miles from home will take 15mins max in bad traffic
good grazing but not the lush grass of current yard

Cons-
poor hacking

so im being daft right? and should just give my notice and move?!

What you save in diesel you lose in the rent being higher? well maybe not exactly - but its a consideration

I would stay put, or see if anywhere close has better hacking....I couldn't cope with poor hacking.

No I wouldn't like somewhere with poor hacking, but nor would I like to travel so far every day to do my horses. Must be worrying in bad weather..

Would you be able to try it for a few months and go back if not, or do you think your boxes would fill at the old place?

Currently spend £70 a week diesel minimum so even with higher livery i'd be saving a fair bit. No where closer with good hacking :( this is the problem with living in London

I could prob go back but i wouldn't get my block back so would have to share a tackroom and the main stables (sounds pathetic but i love having my own space away from everyone)
