Hi. I have never posted on here before but thought I would share this with you and see if anyone else has seen it before. To give you a general idea - My horse is a large cob - almost six but doesn't want to stop growing. The perimeter fence around his field is a double strand electric fence which isn't always on (mistake I know). Over the last few days I have found him in the next field (eating happily) but with no damage to a single fence post. We couldn't work out how he was doing this so this morning I headed up to let them out and watched while mucking out to see how he was doing it. What he is doing is backing up to the fence, lifting his hind legs (one at a time) over the bottom wire and backing through the fence ducking his head so that he can get through. Surprised doesn't even touch it.
Sorry this is so long for a first proper post but I was keen to find out if anyone elses has experienced this. Power is now back on to the fence so he hasn't tried it again this morning
