About 7 years ago I bought my ideal horse from a riding establishment and she was perfect for me up until she was sadly pts and I never thought I'd find one to replace her. Well, today I went back to the same place to see what they had for sale and saw one that immediately caught my eye. He was piebald (the same as my other), the same height, same temperament, same build and, would you believe it, he had the same name!! I'm going back next week to ride him but I have a good feeling about this one.

Thanks, I'll post pics if I buy him. It may be an interesting 'before and after' as he's a cob and I'll enjoy tidying him up a little.

Wow thats is some fate or something in play, I really understand how you feel my sec D was PTS just over a year and a half ago and left me feeling sad and empty. He was so hard to replace due to the fact he was a complete saint and my best friend. I had another horse here Ollie (grey in sig I have owned for 3 years) who my grooms rode and was too much for me really due to my illness as he can be quite silly.

I have tried to buy another to replace Taffy but after a long time looking cant find a thing that is or feels right, so I decided to keep Ollie and ride with a body protector and a prayer, and next year I am going to buy a Sec D yearling for breaking later on. I have bought a competition horse this summer instead for my rider/groom to compete on for me and that should be a lot of fun.

This is a very hard time for you replacing a best friend but I would say this new horse is simply meant to be. I hope everything goes well for you and the new horse is everything you have wished for good luck!
