yes, as you can see he is in constant fear of predation and spends his life ready to run Great dope. I got right up to him before he woke up and as you can see he hardly jumped to his feet even when he realised I was there

Mine did this to me this morning the other two were up and yelling at me but my filly was playing dead and only reluctantly opened her eyes when I poked her to tell her breakfast was served! She eventually got up! Lazy moo!

I thought the same the other day when i approached one of mine, Mr M was laid out fast on, he was even kicking out with his hind legs and snoring (he must of been galloping somewhere) what he didn't realise is that he was kicking poor Crab that was laid right next to him
