Alo!

So I love to jump, and Jolls seems to enjoy it, and he can certainly do it!! BUT, think I've been getting a little nervous recently which may be why he's starting to put in the odd stop or duck out... He's never done that before. If he's not jumped a certain jump before then he just gives it mega scope (an he already has a round jump!), which is what's un nerving me a little, taking orbit.
So I think maybe he's picking up on it a bit an I'm not giving him enough confidence.

Any tips on how to make ponios jump a little flatter/smoother/normal height or shall I just give up on the small jump equals small jump or just put them at 3 an half foot an over an hold on tight?

(. He's so good really, doesn't rush into jumps (the opposite infact as he is so strong that he can do them from a stand still anyway so why put in effort!?LOL).

Well we're putting jumps out tomorrow an I'll get my fearless friend on him an put some challenging (height an scariness) an see how we get on.
But number 1 lesson in April should maybe be a jumping one.... How can I confidently take him round a course of jumps at a show if I'm worried that because he's never seen them before he'll jump them all huge? Or worse still he'll stop/run out due to my nervy vibes?

Never had this problem before!

Hmmmmmm, apologies on crazy rant!

Have a good weekend everyone!

if you are nervous dont put the jumps up higher. Trust me I have done this berfore too soon and my nerves got worse. Stick to small, practise makes perfect! My new mare sounds just like yourse, she is like bambi over a fence. I am not worried about correcting it as she clears fences well!!!!
