So happy, for the second day in row I've managed to get on my mare, first attempt, no faffing or getting on and off the mounting block and leading her round, she has just stood still and waited for me to get on!

I know it's a small thing but having gone from not being able to get on her at all, a horrible incident whilst mounting and weeks of faffing around to what i've had the last few days is a big thing for us.

At times I thought it would never get better, just got to master getting on from the ground now but I may need my legs to grow a bit first lol :D

Well done, sister had a 16.3 Clydie cross that we had to block in with bales to teach her to stand at the mounting block, she eventually got to the stage where she actively tried to shrink herself to let sis get on for the first ride after sis had broken her ankle :) It takes time and guile we find :D

Yey... It's the little things. My big lad won't let you mount from the left so we tried from he right and hey presto he stands still, no spinning, trotting off, running backwards...just stands as if there has never been an issue?!!?
It's like a little band play a fanfare every time I get on :)

I know how you feel, the first couple of times I got on with no problems there was no-one around.......typical, I would have liked a round of applause lol.
