i took my clippers apart!!! how to get tuning right

I went and took my clippers apart to brush them out and i put them back correctly but how do i make sure the knob on top is set correctly
they dont sound right
they are liveryman arena's i think..... or appollo

Well I usually do the big screw on the top up as tight as it will comfortably go, then I unscrew it half a turn, turn them on and fiddle back and forth until it sounds right.
 
The normal way is to clean them with a brush, oil them, and then put them back together (there is often a booklet with an exploded diagram included in the box).
To get the tension right, tighten the screw as much as you can (without excess force) then slacken one and a half turns (there is often a little line on the screw base to help you gauge it). That works for most clippers.
Then run oil along the blades, and run them, making minor adjustments to them as you think fit (noise is a good guide).
