Today was probably the most fun I have ever had on horseback :) I'm actually addicted to it and I'm borrowing a ball and net to practice on Koko.

I get to the place we was doing it and I had to ride the people I was grooming for pony first as they was not sure how he would take to the ball. He was fine and I was told to get off so the son could ride him.

One of the people organising (I'm not good with names) then approached me and asked if I wanted to ride one of their horses. I was over the moon and was put on a lovely mare called Rosie who I later found out is a Grade A horse!! And plays interntaionally for Australia! I played one match (I can't remember the proper name) It was so much fun though!

I had an absolute blast and I'm definatly considering joining my local club, it is so much fun I just hope Koko enjoys it as mush as me :)

(sorry for picture quality, was taken off my phone)

I don't think you can get cheap ones :( The balls are only made in ONE FACTORY is Aus so they are always around £28 or so. You could try ebay or some riding schools have a supply of them that they can lend people. The best way really is to get to a tournament and try some out yourself as each one is different- it's a bit like wands from Harry Potter!!

Try www.equineweb.com the owners are great polox folks and they are based in Glos so you may be able to try them out before you buy!

I was beginning to think you can't get cheap, all the balls I saw were £30 and the cheapest raquet was £80 :o Why do I have to like expensive sports? I looked on equineweb, didn't realise they were in gloucester :) Thankyou.

No prob, well it could be worse- it could be polo (4 horses, 4 saddles, knee guards, silly hat, big lorry, years supply of pimms and cucumber sarnies...)
