Every time I come on here, loads of people have been out competing, or on fun rides, generally having fun.
But I can't go because I have no transport

I just want to get out and do some shows now

Ditto. No transport and no competitions, except really flash SJ here to go to either. I'm not kidding, I think I'd have to travel about 400 km to find a XC course

No endurance rides until Spring amd even then I can't get there!

I don't have transport either. I have to borrow some (inclu driver as i can't drive), hitch a ride with someone who's going or i have even hacked to many shows once i hacked for 2hrs to go showjumping did 2 classes (winning one) then hacked home.

I am the same, no trailer and no willing driver

It would help a lot if my horse actually had a saddle at the moment then we have a better chance of possibly hacking to our nearest and only venue.

yeah I'm very greatful for that, it took me a very steep learning curve and lots of heart ache, and about 16 years of wanting, before I managed to get her.

I know, I dont have a riding horse anymore anyway, so the only fun I get is when I feed him and his little oap friend and they refuse to go back in the field

, at least you can still ride yours

Save up to pay for hiring transport, ask around locally and see if you can share transport costs with someone else who has no transport or have a lift with someone if you pay their deisel.

I don't have transport and this is what I do.

Also what about doing online dressage/showing etc?

I might have transport but legally I can't tow! Rely on family, but they are often busy working... and anyway, if I had a driver, I would struggle to find money to enter things - they seem so expensive!!
I wish the BHS would realise not everyone who is horsey has a tree that grows money!! lol

Join your local riding club, go along to help out or just to watch a few times and you may well meet some people who could pick you up on their way in return for sharing fuel costs.

good point ruthnmeg, the price to enter shows at the minute are massive, dont they realise that in the real world we are not millionaires, and every last penny ( at least in my case) goes on feeding my horse and then my family, yes in that order :s
