Ok this is a bit of a whinge really. I just saw the advert for whippet puppies in last weeks H & H and, having wanted one for ages I casually mentioned to OH that my birthday is coming up soon and pointed unsubtly at said advert.

Was then told v crossly that 2 dogs is plenty not to mention moneypit horse etc etc and he went off in a huff :(

Sorry about that - whinge over now

[sits looking at ad and calculating part-ex value of OH...]

Aww whipets are lovely (are they the ones that look delicate and fragile and usually stand with on foot off the ground shhaking slightly) :D little cuties :D

I have been married for sixteen years and to be frank, if I wanted another dog:mad: and I can afford another dog:( and I would walk another dog:cool: and have the mental capacity for another dog:confused:, I would tell my husband just that:p, go to the bank, withdraw the cash and go and get another dog.:D Especially if it was my birthday....... and a sighthound:p

My thoughts exactly blazing saddles but the money might be a problem.... OH has just been drooling over kit car brochures:eek: but on the plus side if he gets one of those he will disappear into the garage for 5 years and I will be single parent so I can do as I please hehe ;) (and he thinks the HORSE is a money pit  )

Kit car brochures - that good, a deal is still possible. Husband would like a certain kit which costs X amount. You would like a whippet which costs X amount. My bet is the kit car costs a helluva lot more than the whippy pup. He gets kit car, you get whippy pup and he's still spent more than you and its not HIS birthday!;)

go for it
heres mine 13 weeks old

Every time I read the title of this thread I think "well, of course, that is quite understandable" :D If I were in a position to have a puppy it would definitely be a whippet - not sure how I got fobbed off with a whippet x greyhound from Cayla mind you...:p
