Bit extreme but 3 of them (all TBs by the way) are driving me mad at the moment! i have a 4 year old mare that belongs to a friend and she is in season, my 22 year old gelding is turned out with her and when I put him the field next door to her yesterday so he could have more grass he went mental. Charging up and down the fenceline, neither of them would settle. I brought both of them in for a few hours and also had my 9 year old ex racehorse gelding in, during which time he got so friendly with the mare from across the yard that when I put him out two fields away he also wanted to be with her and was charging up and down the fence and actually throwing himself into the electric fencing! Meanwhile my 6 year old warmblood gelding couldn't care less.

They are driving me insane! I am seriously considering delivering the mare back to my friend.

Sorry, pointless post but I had to tell someone!

Well if you will have TBs........

Well I could soon be joining you in wanting to shoot my TB ex racer. Since being out 24/7 the past couple of weeks he's become all Mr independent and if I bring him in he's a maniac in the stable and to turn back out. He's got a massage at 1 so I'v got to decide whether to get him in ten mins before the massage man arrives and have him get wound up hanging about in his stable (can't distract him in any way to calm him!!) or wait til the bloke arrives before getting him but I know if I do that it will be typical I won't be able to catch him as it's hit or miss at the moment!!

Thank god I am not alone.... will you do mine too while you are at it. ( 2 x TB's and one uncatchable section a)

Do you think it's just this time of year and being out 24/7 it is bringing out their wild sides? I hope so, I cannot cope much longer. How did you get on with yours bumblelion? My ex racer has been on box rest for 10 weeks, you'd think he'd just be pleased to be out but seems to be having the opposite problem to yours in that he actually wants to come back in again!
