My youngster is in the field growing up and having the winter off before being backed in the new year. My oldie is old and only hacks out - I dont like hacking in the extreme weather which is to come, as she is old and I would like to her to stay sound and nice to nanny the baby along... which leaves me with nothing to ride! ahhh!! I have no more money or space for another ... ideas anyone? :)

I am in Lancashire - near the North Yorks border. in the middle of Manchester - Leeds.

ooh thats quite a good idea - how would I go about it though? I couldnt see myself letting people do that with my horses... so many horror stories about :(

I asked because I thought you might be near me, but you're not.

Are you an experienced rider? You could advertize in horsey shops or online (are there any local horse websites near you?) that you're available to exercise/help with horses. You'd probably need someone to give you references that your riding was very good.

Earlier today there was a thread by someone who's pregnant wanting to know how much to PAY to have her horses ridden! No-where near you, sadly, but you might be able to find someone like that?

aww thanks anyway :) I'm experienced, and small and light weight - sometimes my confidence lets me down a bit! However, Ive just been moaning to my friend and shes told me of a tb X whos had a tendon injury so won't event again but would take someone round a hunter trial - he needs a jockey!!! wooooooooop :)

I dont like to moan ... but in this case its been beneficial!!

That sounds good otherwise try tack shops and websites for people advertising for a sharer preloved is a good site for this sort of thing :-)
