My horses are looked after and the main concern. I trusted my vet who most people would. No i dont have experience with foaling but i DO know how to look after horses iv'e been around them long enough and worked for proffesionals!
 
So dbard, please answer me this. One black mare, purchased in poor condition for your daughter 2 weeks ago. Advertised on the 3rd as 'stunning black pony' glowing advert etc.
Please answer me, my do you tell lies?

I've been reading with interest, I thought lhotse was being harsh at first, but don't now I have looked back, there are some worrying horse care issues, I hope some of it is made up, even if that is an irritating thing to do, but I do fear for the horses. I'm with lhotse on this.
 
i advertised her on what i belived and yet to be proven wrong is true she is poor, but that is it! and no, she wasnt origanilly brought for little girl but has turned out that way so we'll be keeping her! Why are you interested and why do you care
 
Is DBard a dealer? Lots of dealer/sales ponies in pics? But then odd questions about rugs. I don't usually look through posts but was interested to see what the fuss was about.

Ah, so it's none of our business ... hmmm. Well for one, she posts on this frickin forum, which makes it our business, Lol!! And I'll tell you this right now, IF what she says on here is true, and IF she were keeping her horses next door to mine, I would very much find it MY business! She sounds to be unscrupulous and a real danger to her own horses, let alone other peoples horses.

How you can sit there and say neglect/ignorance of horses is acceptable and should not be picked up on ... well what more can I say. Yeah let's all turn a blind eye to it. Good lord what is this world coming to

Because I can't believe that you can write such drivel in an advert about a pony that has been in your care for a couple of days. I find dealers such as yourself, pretty much the pits to be honest. Someone could have purchased this pony from you for the asking price of £650 and ended up with a lot of trouble. You cannot possibly know what you were advertising to be true, in a couple of days you cannot gain that knowledge of a ponies' behaviour.
You also stated that she was purchased for your daughter. Two weeks ago.

I have not said that neglect is acceptable. And you have not kept my quote in context. We do not know what she does with her horses in reality, there is also a user on this forum who would vouch for Dbard.
My arguement is that were is the photographic evidence of neglect? Infact after, admittedly alot of urging, she did get the vet out and the vet has given the all clear that the mare is fine. If Dbard was neglecting her horses do you think she would get a vet out?

Was only asking as I thought if you weren't happy with the mare you could return her after just 2 days of ownersip. Unless of course you bought her with the view to sell or some other reason.
 
I'm sorry but lhotse - think dbard has sold her a billy goat is the funniest thing i have heard for a while - bless you, i don't see you as a bully at all, infact most people have taken the piss out of dbard because of her strange posts as have i !!x
 
You made a blanket comment that none of it (as in any care of any horses) is any of our business. I beg to differ, that's why I DO help out those in need and why I DO take in the odd unfortunate case. Unlike some, I don't just bury my head in the sand and say "it's none of my business".

Interesting. And the WB? Grey pony, black pony?? Its true, there is no solid evidence of neglect, or a lack of care, but I can see why people are worried and commenting here. Many of us have known people where horses and ponies change hands frequently, use Cambridge sales, move about, etc, not to mention the strangles posts. I can see why there has been such a response.
