I was told today that only Natives should be allowed in UK - how far do you agree??

1. I'm not entirely sure she knows the first thing about horses, and

2. It sounds like she's bought one of the few types and temperaments of horse that won't send her into space from the sounds of her riding!!! She can't ride anything else!! ( and I am not saying that natives are all like that- just her rather dim cob thing from the sounds of it!!)

I was laughing, then I thought of what her poor horse has to put up with!!!

i think you are spot on :)

she loves cobs (i think!) and when talking about hacking (i was telling her the story of the miniatures on my other thread ) and this automatically meant java was totally non-bombproof and asked me "if i was in this situation would he do this" and so on
 
Kirsty, I'm in Cumbria - I think I may have had this conversation with someone at some point - must be the county nutter! Too much inbreeding and too few surnames and this is what it creates....does she have an extra toe on each foot?

Not done anything this year since mid Nov as other horse up and down to hospital and with £9k of vets bills I can't afford to really compete now til next year....last winter did Kingwater unaff dressage and Newton Rigg, but I've now moved further south, so did Myerscough in Nov but nothing since!

mainly compete at greenlands + blackdyke
 
That's what I told her he is a cob with a mix of everything but she said she seriously doubted he had anything other than native I him

Aren't welsh's descended from Arabs?

ooooh, what about my highland? She has to go, as I don't know any of her breeding :D Damn, I now have n ponies. Quick, anyone got a pure native (with no other breeds in heritage that I can buy?)

I feel sorry for her poor cob.

Out of interest, when did horses first arrive here? Cos since I'm sure they didn't evolve here from proto-mammals, strictly speaking there's no such thing as a true native... go on, tell her that next time, see what she says:D

ohh kirsty i love this post, only thing thats put a smile on my face all day!! i know who your talking about too woooop :p needless to say she is on the clueless side of things!! I remember when she called us cruel because we jump horses which is so unnatural, not like they jump things in the wild to escape from danger?? hmm
shes made me laugh many a time with her horsey theories :p

ermmm sorry to tell everyone on here but if you put a rug on your horse i am going to report you to WHW or RSPCA unfortunately as you are all being so cruel to your ponies so if you would leave appropriate details below that would be smashing sorry to be the bad guy in all this but we must follow our leader person X and as a result you are all in breech of animal welfare :/ sorry to ruin your day

I'd say the shetland is about the most 'pure native' perhaps the silly muppet should get one of those.

Everything out her mouth sounds like *******s to me, and had she said any of the above to me she would have been told exactly where to place her views and to jog on swiftly :D

But he lives with my horsey java who is a wimpy appy x tb with his heavyweight turnout on

A 21 year old welsh sec c who has his horseware rhino rug on as he is old and shivers

And he has his :) it's more of a thick rainsheet than a heavyweight turnout no neck piece or anything
