I weighed the rugs

After my post re the Rambo supreme turout and my worry they were heavy, mine has just arrived and so I weighed out of interest and because the luggage scale was on the table!

I was going to say all rugs are the same size but just realised thats not actually true, one is bigger. This is rug body only not necks.
I weighed an Amigo 900d 50g which is the bigger size so not really a fair test but it weighs 3.1kg
A 6'6 Ranbo Duo 100g which weighed 3.4 kg and the supreme 50g 6'6 is just over 4.5kg so they are a good bit heavier really. I suppose it is quality, you can feel the outer fabric is better/thicker/stronger but I've had no problems with my Duo and like the lighter feel of it tbh.

Just going to pop out and try it on Wish me luck, it'll cost a fortune to return

It fits really nicely!
I was very pleased until I noticed a huge swelling behind her chin…

Sent photos to the dental vet who did all her work, should probably return the rug and sell a kidney really…..

It’s perfect for her, she has just gone and rolled in it of course, now she has a dirty expensive rug and a fat head

Yes it’s the 50g Rambo on sale at Hope Valley Saddlery.
I have loads of liners and probably not enough turnouts for her to share with my other horse especially when it’s really wet so figured this covers a lot of weather possibilities!
I’m very pleased with it, I spent so long putting it in my basket but never checking out!

This morning the rug stil looks lovely, it’s a little dirtier!
But, the swelling is completely gone. I’ve messaged the vet back, maybe hold off on the panic but
Very odd. My horses always go wrong in the worst possible way and swelling/heat round her month in the first few weeks was what I had to look out for. Why has it vanished.
Not heard back from the vet yet but will be interesting to hear what he thinks and if she needs a visit

Maybe! Really odd I was convinced it was the end of the world
For anyone thinking I’m over reacting she had major dental work 2 weeks ago and I’ve been told to keep an eye for any signs it hasn’t worked hence my slight melt down moment.

Vet doesn’t think it’s tooth related but has said keep a close eye and to keep in touch over the next week or so.

Mine has that rug too and I love it. Feels properly sturdy!

Mine also loves a mystery swelling - he's usually bashed himself playing silly buggers and it never amounts to anything!
