We've been away for the weekend to a barn in Settle with a gang of friends. When we got there we realised we were 10mins from the stud George was bred at!

Soooo, we decided to call in yesterday as we were on our motorbike and fancied some nice riding

It was so weird, loads of grey heads looking at us, that all had a resemblance to George!

We saw his half brother, a cousin and a stallion that is of a similar line to his dam

This is Orbit the stallion and he was ABSOLUTELY awesome! These pics don't do him justice at all, and he was such a lovely big gentle chap! :

We went in the stable with him, and Mike's comment... "Jesus christ! I've never seen a pair of balls on a horse before!!!!!!"

George's breeder was tickled pink

He was a lovely man who gave up his time to chat despite us just landing unannounced.

Unfortunately George's mum was out on grass livery for the winter, but will be coming back with the foals soon. We're gonna go back up later in the year and see her and some new babies!!!

I suppose thinking about it, it's quite a good test to arrive at a stud unannounced and still find everything nice and friendly etc

No-one was worried about us looking around on a seconds notice, so it's reassuring that if ever I was interested *daydreamingaboutfoalies*

in buying, then I would definately consider them.
