I am on a yard that is on a big estate, consists of 4 yards. I have one of my horses on DIY, & have my other on Full livery at a different yard until there was a space for me at DIY. Have been there since January and was promised a stable as soon as one comes up.

Somebody moved there 2 horses off the DIY yesterday, so I went to YM asking when I could move Scribbles, she said that there are already 2 people getting those stables as they have been on the waiting list lobger than me, but that is impossible as they would have got the stable in January before me?!?

Im sooo annoyed, one of the people getting the stable is already on the DIY yard, and wants to bring another of her horses up from a field she rents. The other person is a cousin of a current livery.

I think this is unfair and now we have to continue paying an extra £150 per month for full livery until another stable comes up.

I dont think there is much we can do to sort things out, Im thinking of moving alltogether now.

Sorry for that, just want to know you opinions?

Yes, deifnately, but I think its a bit out of order, as we only moved there on condition we could get the first spare stable.

I would go speak to her again and say you want the next stable or else you will consider moving both horses or at least the one off full livery.
If she is playing the money game, you should play it too!

Get an agreement written up and signed for this stable, so it is not just a verbal agreement which can be gone back on much easier than a written one!
 
does sound well cheeky and you've a right to be p****d off with her. tell her you'll move both if you don't get the next space- bet she finds one then!
 
Sounds to me like she doesn't want you to move as you are paying her a nice sum of money each month. Think you need to consider moving.........
 
I have been told to do that, but I sdont want to resort to threats incase she turns round and says "OK, go".

When me and my mam went in and asked about it she was pretty embarrased, and I recieved a text apologising, I dont really want to out it up on here, open forum and all.
 
I really do want to move if something dosent happen pretty quick, but its just finding a place with 2 DIY stables, close to home, with a half decent schooling area with lights. Its harder than you think round here, there all full livery.
 
I know where yr coming from. We have 2 horses on 2yards at the moment. A stable came up at our yard a couple of weeks ago and YM decided to move her mare in despite 4 weeks earlier she'd said we could have it. Our name has been on the next stable since January also. I'm extremely upset and angryabout it as the chances of stable coming up are slim as it's only a small yard and we're all happy together. I would move but love the people there and the facilities and convenience for us are good. I'm just going to bide my time but won't be there in the winter if this is how it's going to be.
 
Well the YM has clearly just messed us about, just been on the phone to my Dad there and were going to move, if she walks over us once she will think she can keep doing it. Looks like the search is on again.
