Agree completely with MizEltoe. These things happen in the equestrian world and I think we would be very naive to shield ourselves from it. You cant even see anything in the picture! You see the back end of him holding a leg up. Goodness sake, theres far far worse photos on the internet.
 
I will probably get shot down but that picture shows just how much love Mary had for Cavvy. I don't find it offencive I watched the video on YouTube and in a way was pleased it was there as it clearly shows Mary was not to blame (as I have heard reports of some people blaming her for the accident)...

Yes I am saddened by what has happened as I have nothing but the upmost respect for Mary King
 
What a shame that he was then loaded into a trailer which then got stuck on the way out of the stadium, necessitating a lot of back and forward. The decision to put him down was then taken very quickly as he was in so much pain.
Although the screens were up the spectators could still see over - there was a gazebo which was not used. I feel quite strongly that he should not have been transported albeit what should have been a short distance in that condition.
I have not seen the Sky Sports version, apparently Bettina Hoy's round was not shown??
All about damage limitation really.
