For sending me the PMs you did yesterday. I'm sorry I haven't replied to all, lost strength - but your words were appreciated.

I don't want this thread to open in to anything, I just wanted to highlight that from a board that obviously contains such evil and such a capacity to destroy, came a new realisation that someone in the world would care enough to listen. x
 
I think you might be surprised how many care and who would listen. The very vocal minority are indeed, just that; a minority.

You are very brave to be as open as you are and I wish you all the good things in life x

I echo that. I applaude your bravery, particularly in a post which was fast degenerating into an unpleasant rant from some incredibly ill informed individuals!. Your voice reminded us what the OP could be looking at but I am so sorry you had to go through that.

But SO glad that in the end, you have won and marched forward with your life with your head held high (as it should be). I am very proud to "virtually" know you.
 
I couldn't belive the insensitive comments that were being made last night. Obviously made by people who had never been in a serious situation like that. After going through that myself with my cousin numerous times, i know how hard it is to deal with it, and there is just no talking up to these people, they just don't listen, which was what certain people were just not getting last night, standing up for yourself can, sometimes actually make things worse.
 
I don't normally like "buttonpushing" but i admit i did do so last night.

as i said, i believe in freedom of speech etc...but that thread just got way out of hand.

I am not certain what thread is being referred to,but fairly sure,and has been removed now I think??

Not certain what was said after the last time I saw it,but was bad enough before,so can only guess it got even more callous and un-feeling by the time it was removed.Some people defy belief at times,how they can even hold those views is beyond me.

Flamehead I don't know what was said or done to you personally,but I am very sorry that you were upset by the thread,and hope the individuals concerned are suitably ashamed.It is a sad fact of life that the people who have the least thought often have the most to say.

Glad you received support from other members,and hope you are feeling better about it all now.
 
it certainly was incredible who knew pondlife could type!!

You know Flamehead you will learn to live with it and and one day it will not dominate your life, you will always look at the world with different eyes but you will most definately have a full and wonderful life as you will have compassion and empathy for others unlike the pondlife who will have their A$^$s slapped by pervy old farmers and think it's a craic to be "one of the lads" ;-)

I wasnt on long last night (just aswell really) but having seen a bit of whats happened (I briefly put a one line comment up)

I can 200% tell you that you are stronger, braver and a better person that ANY of the eejits (you know who you are) that made bad comments towards your horrendous situation.

You go girl! Stand with your head held high!!!!!
 
The thread in question had my jaw on the floor in horror and I could not believe some of the comments that were posted. I saw a lot of the post and can guess at how it degenerated...

Flamehead - to come on here and share your experience was an incredibly courageous and brave thing to do and you have my total admiration and respect for doing so. It can't have been easy and I am shocked that you were treated in such a disgusting manner that lacked empathy, compassion, humanity and basic common good manners! Some people clearly have a lot to learn about decent human conduct.

I hope you overcome your demons (though I appreciate this is something you learn to come to terms with rather than 'get over' if that makes sense) and that you have a long and rewarding life.

flamehead, I would also like to thank you for your ability to post your story last night. I applaud your ability to speak out and to place the responsibility for the offences against you with the perpetrator, where it belongs. I was dissapointed with the ignorance shown on that thread by some of the posters, as I have said previously, I work with survivors of abuse and I know that they are on the road to recovery when they can do the two things you have done in relation to the abuse.

I only saw some of her stupid comments but she certainly showed her true colours & came across as very immature & a bit thick.
Please try to remember that the likes of Tedsmum & her ilk are in the minority most people don't blame the victim at all.
You're a far better person than her, Like a typical bully she's gone very quiet now some people have stood up to her.
