I really have no idea when it comes to conformation.

So was wondering what people thought of V as I have not really thought about it until now.

Be as critical as you like as it wont change my opinion of him!

Thanks

Sorry, i dont have any front on ones.

Go on, rip him apart!!!!!!!

I think he is super to be honest, tremendous strength in his backside and a wonderful neck.
Perhaps his shoulder could slope a little more but that's just me, or it could be he's not moving it far enough foward in the moving pic.
I'd buy him, I think he has turned into a fabulous horse...
(but I don't claim to be a conformation expert so what do I know?!!)

He looks great to me but I don't know what I'm talking about.

I thought he was about 12hh in the first pic! don't know why but he looks like a little welsh pony or something!

He's very shiny BTW!

I think he's adorable. The only thing I can find to mention is his tail looks set quite low so he looks like he has his bottom tucked underneath him so he kind of looks a bit green and he seems to have an incredibly short back which makes him look perhaps chunkier than he is?!!

ets: although I know absolutely nothing about Andy's so whadda I know

I like the fact that he appears to be very compact and that he appears to have uphill paces, I am no expert but I think he is very nice and ideal for dressage, as long as you are careful not to let him get too stuffy.

Interesting! Never considered where his tail was apart from being above his bottom!!!!

If he looks a bit green then thats because he IS green!
grin.gif
He hasnt been broken in a year yet (short of a few weeks)!

He does have a short back but that is an Andy thing, apparently. I have to say, my Andy knowledge is pretty limited (well, to that one fact actually)!
grin.gif

Thank you. Thats nice to hear!
grin.gif
As, he certainly won't be doing anything other than dressage!!!!! (unless i can find someone to jump him for me)!

I think he finally looks like a proper Andalusian now! For so long he was just a skinny, albeit lovely, horse. He has filled out beautifully and has really come a long way since you first imported him.

smile.gif

Tia, you don't know how much that means to me!!!!!! *gushes* Thank you.

I just hope, once he's back in work, I can keep it all on him. Its taken him so long to fill out, i dont want it all to drop off!!!!!!

Oh I don't think it will drop off him. He is a man now, no longer a boy.
smile.gif
You just have to keep it as muscle and not let it become fat LOL!!

He looks terrific - all credit to you.

God Piaffe if he was papered and entire he would be worth about £30-£40K simply because he is Chesnut
d015.gif
, the spanish have recently (2003) let any colour in (chesnuts were once not accepted) and now they are desperately trying to get chesnuts et al. Means nothing tho cos I know you would not sell him anyway
grin.gif

I think he is lovely and very typical, he is a tad porky but that is a problem with lots of andy's

That is a breed requirement

The are also supposed to be short coupled - and yes - this does make them look porkier than they are

Out of interest, as a newly backed (ok, nearly a year) 6 year old. what price would you put on him? Not that Id sell him

very interesting though about the breeding though. I wish he was still entire, they only cut him a week or so before i saw him.

he has a nice outline, but his shoulder could be a bit more 45 degrees! lol he is also quite short in the back but i prefer horses like that as i like them to be strong! its all about preference... he makes a really nice picture thou!
(lol tryin to practice for pc B test!)

Sadly, not having proper papers really affects the price people would pay, so, somewhere between £4 and £5k.

Gosh, I was offered 6k for him the day he came off the lorry!!!!! I wouldnt sell him though so its not important, he's my baby!
