Icare D'Auzay, 1996-2007

Was very sad, i was there when it happened (but not at that jump) and i burst into tears, a horse losing that much blood was never going to survive
Such a freak accident and could not have been prevented.
RIP beautiful boy and my heart really hugely goes out to jean lou bigot - he looked truly devastated

And Jean Lou, of all riders over here, is one of the nicest guys...And with Icare he had finally found the successor of his notorious Twist Labege who retired from eventing a couple of year ago at almost 20 and who had done his entire career with Jean Lou including Badders in the 90s. All eventing fans in France are devastated for him

what a beautiful horse, it was so tragic what happened to him, but i am sure he is happily grazing in pastures new.
i saw him going over the second jump and thought how lovely he was.

RIP Icare D'Auzay.

What a tragic accident - my heart goes out to those who had the privilege of owning, riding and caring for such a lovely horse.

Unfortunately I really messed up when taking this photo, but to me it is still clear that Icare D'Auzay was truly enjoying himself.
