Ice vibe boots- reviews?

I'm looking at getting the horseware ice vibe boots for my slightly older mare as she has windgalls and gets filled legs, I also worry about her tendons a lot. I just need to know that they're worth the £200, the one thing I'm worried about is they seem to warm up the legs but surely that's not great for tendons? Any experiences or reviews are very welcome! TIA
 
The hock boots worked great on a horse at work who was basically a crock. It helped him keep racing and he was very noticeably sounder to ride when he had them on 3x a day. He had arthritis in his hocks.

We do have the normal boots as well but they don't get used anymore. The gel pads on the inside don't stay cold for very long and they burst quite easily.
 
I got a new pair but old stock off ebay for just over £100. They do help with my mares windgalls, but agree that the gel pads don't stay cold all that long. 20 mins if you're lucky. Still think they are a useful piece of kit, but shop around.
 
i have a set and have used them quite regularly, but you have to remember to put the ice packs in the freezer. They don't stay cold for that long, but you can always use them to cool wine ;)
I used them once a day after work then horse had arc on in the evening. Edited to add check out when Rideaway have 20% off
 
The gel sleeves are not very long, and wouldn’t go round my boys legs.

My friend had an issue with her horse becomeing extremely sensitive to any boots after using the ice vibes, despite all precautions taken against cold burn.
 
Thanks so much to everyone for replying, so the general view is that the gel pads don't stay cold for long but I think 20 mins would be enough just after work etc. Do the vibrations work well to reduce windgalls and filled legs? Also are there any other boots people recommend more for tendons and windgalls?
 
I have recently used ice vibe boots for my horse on box rest with filled legs, with and without cold packs. Reduced dramatically within 48 hrs of using them and kept the legs down whilst he saw out that part of box rest. I have the XLs on a ISH/Warmblood with a bit of bone, they are definitely the right size, L may of been too small so I would size up.

Oh dear I have just bought them in full size. She is a 15.2 slightly chunky ISH not entirely sure how to measure legs but I don't think hers are very long, so will they be ok?
ETA- just measured from bottom of knee then curved under fetlock slightly and it was 33cm
