i have just ordered some very swish and fancy ID tags for my lot, sad some may think:o For the boys - a black and silver background with a red heart, and the girls ones are in pink:D

but the company has missed off a line of the engraving i asked for... they are lovely though i dont know if i can be bothered to send them back or not. the line missed off was only a 2nd mobile number. They still have our name, postcode and a mobile number... what do others have? In years gone by ive gone a bit OTT with them and had every possible detail on there.. they are all chipped too.

Did you pay per line? If not I personally wouldn't be bothered with the hassle.
I just got one done today actually! Surname, my mobile, house name and then postcode.

no the engraving was included in the total price... can never get our house name on as it is stupidly long and is 3 words:rolleyes::o

As long as you remember to update them if you ever change numbers I think that will be fine, especially if they are chipped too (presuming the chip company has both the numbers!).

I put house number, street name, postcode and mobile number.

Mine just say:

Please call my mom
(phone number)
(other phone number)

After having people look at our old dogs tag in the park and come by the house and try and steal him a few days later i no longer include an address.

I wont put anything on my tags other than my mobile number on one side, and 'microchipped please scan me' on the other

Bother that has just reminded me, have changed my mobile number so new tags required :o

My vet very strongly advised me against having "chipped please scan" on my dogs collars due to the number of dogs he had seen which had had thieves trying to dig out the chip.. Mine has my mobile, my name and my vets details on it.

Must be a naughty GSD owner thing. Evie is tattooed, I did have a tag done for her KC good citizens, that just had my mobile number on, but it was on her check chain and I took it off after the test cos the jingling annoyed me:p. The only time my dogs wear collars and tags is if we are on holiday.

phone number, door number with post code, and "chipped and insured"

Just incase he was in an accident and I'd lost him or whatever, at least a vet or someone would know he's covered.

Mine have my surname, postcode, mobile number on their proper tags and they wear those stupid tags supplied by petlog that say they are chipped as well.

Chip and tattoo.
Tag on piece of pink paper it came on.
Bad, bad owner :o

And their licence discs? :) Mine just have their licences now as the pup has removed all forms of dog tags from the lab - and quite often his whole collar :D Having said that, we have a PetSafe fence so they don't go off the farm anyway :)

Mine has his name and my two phone numbers. But I am going to get a new one with my surname instead of his name on there. And he has a microchipped tag as well, although having read Luci07's post, I might take that off!

I know you're meant to have the address on there, but sod that, I'd rather break the law than have people come and nick him from the house because they read his tag and saw where to get him. He's chipped, so it's not like the proper authorities couldn't easily find the address.

That's what I mean, their license discs/tags, they're still taped to the licenses.
Mine eat collars if left on and their chains get too bashed about, they'd get wrecked and I am not putting them on and taking them off every time we go out.
They don't get the opportunity to stray or be off lead in an uninclosed space.
I suppose I could get two cheapo collars to attach them to for walks and stuff but like I say they are chipped, tattooed and DNA registered so I've covered all the other bases.

Chloe's has

Chloe

On one side, and on the other is says "Please scan me! I am microchipped." and then our three numbers underneath it (2 mobiles and a home number)

Mobile number one side, and landline the other. I worry too much about Pops being stolen to include her name and my address.

just my mobile and home phone number, thats all thats needed. I never put my dogs name on there as advised by the pet shop not to. Also have a tag about being chipped.

When I bought mine I was only gonna put on various contact numbers, but I was told it was a legal requirement to have name, address & phone number

I think I put my surname and address on one side and both our mobiles and house number on the back and she has the tag to show she is chipped

Mine have my name and number on one side and my vets name and number on the other side (which reminds me i need a new tag since changing vets)

Mine have house name, postcode, landline and mobile numbers plus "I'm microchipped" although i'm regretting that now given some earlier posts  I do like the house name on there after 2 friends (in different areas) had their dogs taken off the end of their own drives and handed in to the pound!!! And i never walk mine in parks anyway.
