Ideal Event or Grandee?

Currently looking at saddles for the new boy. Just turned 6, still growing and changing shape. He's muscling up a lot. I'm using my Ideal Jessica on him ATM and wanted a jumping saddle but struggling to find what I want. I'm loathe to spend a lot of £££ on a jumping saddle when he is likely to continue changing shape for some time - my saddle fitter agrees with this and suggests buying something cheaper to use for a year or so, then look for something else later on if I need/want to. In terms of jumping saddles I know what I'm after and am keeping an eye out. In the meantime, I am thinking of a cheaper GP to keep me going. The pony will hunt, DR and SJ over the winter (hunt primarily). I did a fun ride on Sunday in my DR saddle which was manageable but not ideal over bigger fences.

So... the question is, I really like Ideal saddles so am wondering about getting an Event or Grandee for now. AFAIK the Grandee is more forward cut - any thoughts on either from anyone? Has anyone ridden in both and has an opinion to offer?

PS... *Disclaimer* I know that the most important thing is that the saddle fits both the pony and me, and asking on a forum is no substitute for sitting on one myself. When it comes to buying a more expensive jumping saddle that I'll keep for a long time, I will try loads. In the meantime, I've had the Event before (sold with a previous horse) so I know I quite like that. Am just wondering if people can offer opinions/thoughts on the Event vs Grandee
