Can anyone tell me what these are geared towards? Are they suitable for low level jumping and xc? My horse is doing a bit more now and I'm thinking of upgrading from her gp saddle to something a bit more jump orientated, although would still like to be able to use it day to day along with her dressage saddle. Have seen one for sale locally which looks quite nice!

They are GP and while being slightly more forward cut than a GP, they are not as forward cut as a jump saddle. Nice and comfy and fine for a bit of everything.

I have one which doesn't fit my current horse and also have event styles in other brands as my only saddle.

If I had a dressage saddle I might go for a jump saddle but as my only saddle an event model is a good compromise for me.

The 'event' means it can be used for all phases, I think it is a better option than a GP for someone who cannot afford a dressage saddle but does want to jump a bit more, I have had them on numerous horses, the horses seem to like them as do most riders, you can get up fairly short for jumping, they are great for everyday hacking and not too bad for flatwork, at one time I actively sought them out for clients as I knew they would probably do the job even if they wanted to move on later to something for each phase.

I think that's what I want - not a pure jumping saddle as I won't need it/am unlikely to be jumping huge jumps - but my current gp isn't really forward cut enough to have shorter stirrups for jumping. I like the look of it and will probably go ahead and try it!

I bought a ideal event saddle from eBay several years ago and it’s brilliant, I’ve used it mainly for hunting, but also hunter trials and long distance rides, it’s extremely comfortable and would definitely buy another one if I needed to, even after all the messy hunting I’ve done it still looks In good condition never needed any repairs straps still solid.
it also seems to fit on any horse I used it on, as I was hunting many different horses but always used my own saddle. It fits my own horse Barney beautifully as you can see in picture. QUOTE]

Oo I'm looking to get one of these as well, I love ideal saddles and wanted one I could do low level eventing in. After comparing them all I think this one will do the job!
